As always, I have many reasons to be grateful this week. Among them:
- I am thankful, as I try always to be, for my family who loves me. Mom and I have not seen much of each other this week, but this afternoon, we’re going to see a movie, which should be lots of fun. I spoke with sister J., out in San Diego, and she seems to have started into a nice summer, although this is her first time in years working through the school summer vacation. Everyone is healthy and well, and that in itself is a huge blessing. And Mom and I may have taken a step toward relieving her inflammation. I’ll report on that soon.
- I am grateful that I finally got off my ass and scheduled an appointment with my PCP about my skin issues. The itching is getting to be awfully distractive, and I expect my PCP will refer me to a dermatologist. This week, I found the very first reference I’ve seen on symptoms like mine — very interesting!
- I have finally gotten my new blog going: The Sun Drips Honey. This is the new home for my poetry; it’s taken me a while, but the site is up and running! Three months ago, I would never have considered myself a poet at all. Now, I am a poet. Maybe soon, with a little more practice, I will be a good poet — I think I might have that potential. And for that I am grateful indeed.
I have so much to be thankful for — I wouldn’t have believed it a couple of years ago. And for that, I am thankful, as well.
