Share Your World: Weeks 14 and 15 combined

Today’s Share Your World challenge, from Cee, is a little different.

Cee and Chris are going on a little beach vacation, so Cee presents us with two weeks worth of questions.  Without further adieu, here they are:

Week 14

If a movie was made based on your life, what actor/actress would play you?  Oddly enough, I have never even considered this question before.  I suppose I would choose Drew Barrymore, mostly because she has the depth and breadth of talent to present my wacky story.

Show us a couple of your favorites photographs?   If you are not a photographer, think of a favorite scene in your life and tell us about them.  I am sitting in a dim cavern, with crystal clear, cold fresh water before me.  I can feel the sand on the backs of my legs — I am sitting where Mayan women sat for centuries, performing the tasks of Everyday living at one of the very few sources of fresh water in the Yucatan.  I sense the children splashing around where the water meets this hidden beach.  I can hear the voices of their mothers and aunts and older sisters, laughing and talking about inconsequential matters, or quietly sharing serious ones.  I am inside the cenote, and I feel as though I were in a very holy place, and yet as Earthy and natural as any I’ve ever felt.

What do you like most about home?  It is my own.

Week 15

What is one of your quirky traits?  I don’t know how to answer this.  None of my traits seem quirky to me.  Maybe those of you who know me well could chime in on this one.  Say anything — I am not going to mind if it’s negative.

What has surprised you about blogging?  The depth and scope of the friendships I have found with other bloggers.

Which do you prefer sweet or salty?  Or both at the same time?  That answer would depend on when you caught me.  Right now, it’s salty, because I was on almost a salt-free diet at rehab.  But if you ask me tomorrow, I might just as quickly say sweet.
