Share Your World — 2013 Week 34

f you were to move and came fully furnished with everything you ever wanted, list at least three things from your old house you wish to retain? (assume all personal items; photos, books, animals, etc. go with you)  My first choice is my family photo album.  We are an odd bunch sometimes, but I now am friends with them, and I love them all.  Secondly, I would bring the Venus d’Milo brass statue my parents bought when we lived in Turkey.  Venus has been prominently displayed in every house since then.  Thirdly, and I am going to cheat here, I would bring all of the paintings my mom and my sister S. painted and gave to me — I am at Mom’s, so I can’t include photos, but they are my lovely guardian angel, from S., and my painting of Turkey and my two underwater paintings from Mom’s easel.

Is the glass half empty or half full? What is in the glass?  For the first time in my adult life, I believe, my glass is more than half full of cool, clean water.

What calms you down?  1960s pop music, 1970s Rock, and exercise.

What individual item of food would you not eat, even if it was served to you at the Queen/President’s dinner table? (Something ordinary.)  Green peppers, prepared by anyone, any way.

    • Oh yes — and I took so much time and work to get here. All more than worth the effort, I believe with all my heart. I never thought I would live into my 40s, so I never grew up — spoiled little victim for most of my life. Thank the Universe that has changed! 😎

    • One of my sisters like them; consequently, I believe some visiting alien must have nailed my mother! But then, she grows vegetables on every inch of yard around her house — all very natural, very healthy. I wish somewhere along the way, I had learned to love gardening but, oh, well. I will visit your blog for longer as soon as I have time for a breath — please bear with me, 😎

  1. Just checking in Jack! Sounds like you are being an awesome daughter. Are you dying over the government shut down? I’ve already worn out my tooth enamel grinding my teeth!

    • Hey, buddy. Nope — not even talking about it. It is driving me nuts, but not worth another argument with you-know-who. Thanks for checking in — nice to hear from my smart circle, when my elected Congress is acting like thugs and babies.

I love to read your thoughts...
